How to get in shape with no equipment

It has been a busy first day of the week. I am fortunate to have Jane by my side to feed my blog with something new. This is a treat for those who wish to keep their body in shape but do not feel like spending on any gym equipment.

No Equipment Exercise Routines

Regular exercise is an activity that should be adopted by everyone because of the various health benefits that it brings to the body. However, there are some barriers that make it impossible for most people to exercise which include lack of money to buy equipment, and also time to do the various activities within an exercise regimen. There are many people who believe that using expensive equipment at home or in a gym results in building their body into a shape that they have always dreamed of. However, this is not always the case as they are a variety of ways that you get in shape while using no equipment at all.

Brisk walking – This type of exercise only needs good sports shoes to make sure that the feet at protected from any damage while walking. You can start walking for around ten minutes and continue adding on the amount of time as weeks go by. Brisk walking is known to reduce cholesterol in the body which results in weight loss while building muscles as well. Other benefits of this type of walking include management of blood pressure as well as diabetes that can be fatal if an individual is not in good shape.

Body exercises – These types of exercises depend on solely on the strength of the individual to be able to do a majority of them. Some of the most common body exercises that help keep the body in shape include sit ups, crunches, hip lifts, push ups, triceps dips and lunges among others. These body exercises are categorised into those that are good for exercising the upper body and those for the lower body.

Jumping rope – Jumping rope is one of the simplest ways to do engage in cardiovascular fitness because of the hopping and skipping that is involved in the exercises. The amount of calories burnt from the body after thirty minutes of jumping using a rope is almost three hundred, resulting in toned legs as well as body. Jumping routines are varied thus keeping the exercises fun as well and some of them are double jumps and lifting the knees much higher when skipping to increase the intensity of the activity.

Aerobics – The rhythmic movements that form part of majority of aerobic videos are designed in such a way that they exercise the whole body. The music that is incorporated also makes the stretching as well as strengthening exercises much more fun to do, while resulting in the building of muscles as well. Most of the moves in the videos do not need any equipment, only the right exercise gear such as shoes and clothes.

Dancing –There are many types of dancing that people engage in all over the world, and most of them involve rhythmic movements that raise the heart beat and burn a lot of calories from the body. Some of the dance moves that are used in some dances result in the lengthening of muscles and lean bodies.
