Not the Typical Girl: On Turning 29 and Looking Forward to 30 (EDITED October 2020)

I am reviewing my blogs from old... now I am about to celebrate my 37th birthday soon. It's good to see what I had planned to be doing and see what I have accomplished. 

I have never been a typical girl. My father told me that once over dinner, and until now he keeps on telling me that I am not the average girl anyone will meet on the street.

I definitely agree with him. I am not your typical girl and I am happy not to be ordinary...

While other girls my age would be frustrated to learn they have added another year on their age, yet remain single; I can't help but feel too proud of myself. Well, I know it will take an extra-ordinary man to really grab hold of me real tight, because of my stubborn nature. I am happy I turned 29 and still remain single, probably because I am very much enjoying the independence I have right now and the beauty of freedom.

Top Ten Things I Wish to Do Before I Reach the Age of 30

Since I am now 29 and I have 365 days to make it better than my 28 years, here is a list of the things I wish to do with the help and mercy of the Lord.

1. I wish to go to Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia and finally see KK Adventure Park or probably go hiking on its mountain to personally see the unique flora and fauna of the region. I really fell in love with the place while I was tasked to write something about it. I just hope my cousin, Carlo, doesn't change his mind in letting me come with him. ( I hope I don't spoil all the fun for him.., )

I wasn't able to go to KK but I was able to go to Kuala Lumpur. So I think that's the closest I can get. 

2. I wish to become a certified SEO analyst. I saw a crash course in UP Diliman that will only last for a month or so. I plan to enroll in it early next year, to finally have a certificate proving to the world I know things about SEO. Although I know a bit about SEO, I believe I will learn more from the expert. I just hope I will be given the chance to have this fulfilled.

I didn't become a certified SEO analyst, but I am a project manager. So I guess it's a yes as well. 

3. I wish to have the house renovated. I want a new look at our house. The first phase of renovation will begin this December and before 2013 ends, I hope it becomes the house I have pictured in my mind. This means I have to work harder and pray hard I will have more clients.

Yep! This we've done. A second level is taking place. 

4. I wish to visit Star City. This sounds funny, but I have never been to an amusement park. During my school days, I have books on my desk and spent hours reading. I did not fancy gimmicks and parties. Interestingly, I find it thrilling to finally take rides on an amusement park. This maybe because of Maya, or because I know I am not getting any younger and I wish to experience these.

I've not been to STAR CITY but I have been to Universal Studios in SG. So it's a check.

5.I wish to have braces on my teeth. Foster father said I need to have braces, but the truth is I am scared of dentists. In any case, it is my goal to fulfill this early next year. They say dental services abroad is more expensive, so I have no choice but to have this in the Philippines.

Gosh! Even this I have accomplished. And now I am even free from my braces!!!
